Sharon is a Senior Director at HBR Consulting and is the co-leader of HBR's Business Operations practice. She directs engagements focused on achieving legal back-office and support staff operational efficiencies. She has extensive experience as a successful legal outsourcing entrepreneur, an Operations VP of a technology start-up, and a formally trained process improvement champion within a Fortune 100 company.
A successful entrepreneur and software inventor, Sharon is the co-founder and former CEO of LawDocsXpress, a pioneer in legal word processing and support staff outsourcing using only U.S. labor and a completely cloud-based software platform that Sharon designed. In her role as CEO, she worked with more than 100 U.S. law firms and corporate counsels to implement restructured operations and outsourcing services.
Prior to starting LawDocsXpress, Sharon worked in both start-up and large corporate environments with emphasis on operational implementation and efficiency. Sharon also was a partner in a telecom/Internet consulting firm where she focused on operational improvements, contractual competitive opportunities/threats and new venture operational implementation.
Sharon is a frequent speaker and author on the topic of legal change management, outsourcing, restructuring, innovation, and emerging technologies. She has an MBA from Loyola Marymount University and a BA from the University of Southern California. She is a frequent lecturer on strategic planning and entrepreneurship, and has been a judge of multiple MBA business case competitions.
